There are many lessons to be learned from the book of Acts. There are many examples for us to learn from about faith, trust, perseverance and obedience. There are also many examples of what not to do and the dangers of hatred and disobedience. And we see over and over how God works ahead and how God cares about His work and how God moves in the hearts of men.

General Information about Acts
The book of Acts was written by Luke after he wrote the gospel of Luke.
Acts covers a period of about 32 years.
The book of Acts is the only history book in the New Testament. It records the events after the ascension of Jesus back to Heaven until Paul is in prison in Rome.
The book of Acts records what Jesus continued to do and to teach after His ascension through His believers.
The main theme of the book is the power of God for witnessing.
The book of Acts sets forth God’s plan for witnessing to the lost. This book shows us how the church is to go about reaching the world for Christ. And it gives a huge contrast between those who obeyed Jesus command to go to all the world and those who refused and only went to the Jews.
