Lessons From The Gospels

These 4 books show Christ’s life and work from 4 different angels.  Matthew focuses more on Jesus as King.  Mark focuses more on Jesus as a servant.  Luke focuses more on the humanity of Jesus.  And John focuses more on the deity of Jesus.  

General Information about the Gospels

Matthew was the first N.T. book written.  And it was written very early on.  Matthew is dated to 37 A.D. So only a few short years after Jesus ascended the early church had the book of Matthew.  Jesus did not leave His new church without N.T. scripture for very long.  

Mark was written around 50 to 55 A.D.

Luke was written around 60 A.D.

John was written around 90 A.D.
