The Yielded Life
What is a Yielded Life?
Tis one at God’s command,
For Him to mold, to form, to use
Or do with it as He may choose,
Resistless in His hand.
What is a Yielded Life?
A life whose only will,
When into blest subjection brought–
In every deed and aim and thought,
Seeks just to do His Will.
What is a Yielded Life?
A life which love has won,
And in surrender full, complete,
Lays all with gladness at the feet
Of God’s most Holy Son.

Like so much of the old Christian poetry it lines up with Scripture.
Isa_29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Jer 18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Jer 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
Rom_9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Deu_6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Jos_23:11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.
Psa_31:23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Psa_97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psa_116:1 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Mat_22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mrk_12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
