Lessons From 1 Timothy

The book of 1 Timothy stresses sound doctrine and orderly church government.  It gives us principles to guide the church.  The theme of the book is the qualifications and conduct of men in the ministry.  This book teaches us that we are to live a life that is exemplary of the ministry to which we have been called.

 

General Information about 1 Timothy

1 Timothy was written by Paul who had two names.  Saul is his Hebrew name and Paul is his Latin name. When reading the book of 1 Timothy look for:

How to deal with heresy.

How to regulate church life.

How to conduct our daily living.

How a man is qualified for the job of a Pastor.

How a man is qualified for the job of a Deacon.

How believers in church are to conduct themselves.
