All Men Are Born Sinners
- Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
- Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
- Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become
unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
- Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother
conceive me.
God Is Just And He Must Judge Sin.
If you are not saved, then you are under the condemnation and
wrath of God.
- Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name
of the only begotten Son of God.
- Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on
him.
-
The Penalty Of Sin Is Death. We are all
sinners so that is why we all die.
- Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is]
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
There Is a Literal Hell Where Men Go To Pay For Their Sin.
And since man can't pay for it he will spend all eternity there. Hell is a
place of Torment.
- Mat 23:33 [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the
damnation of hell?
- Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast
into the lake of fire.
- Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth
Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
- Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and
send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my
tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
We Cannot Pay The Penalty For Sin Ourselves Because We Are
Sinners. Our works of righteousness are as
filthy rags and cannot justify us in the sight of God.
- Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our
righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and
our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
- Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of
God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
- Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the
law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus
Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by
the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be
justified.
Jesus Was Without Sin. So He Could Pay For Our Sin. He Was The Just Dying For The
Unjust. God the Father made Jesus to be sin for
us who had no sin of His own.
- 2Co 5:21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- 1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for
the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Jesus Was Without Sin Because He Was Born Of A Virgin.
The sin nature is passed thru the man. Jesus came thru the seed of the
woman.
- Luk 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house
of David; and the virgin's name [was] Mary.
- Luk 1:28 And the angel came in unto
her, and said, Hail, [thou that art] highly favoured, the Lord [is] with thee:
blessed [art] thou among women.
- Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a
son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God
with us.
- Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy
seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Jesus Could Pay For Our Sin Because He Was Not Just A Man.
He Was God Manifested In The Flesh. Jesus always
existed and left the glories of heaven to come to earth. Mary was NOT
the mother of God! Jesus already existed long before she did. She was
just the vessel that He used to enter into the world.
- Phi 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
- Phi 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal
with God:
- Phi 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
- Phi 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and
became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
- Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.
- Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
- Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
truth.
- Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- 1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Not Only Is
God Just, He Is Also Love So He Sent His Son To Pay For Our Sin.
And what is so amazing is that He loved us while we were yet sinners.
- Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
- Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God
The Son Died And Shed His Blood So That Men Could Be Saved.
It is the shed blood that justifies.
- Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through him.
- 1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth
us from all sin.
- Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood
he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption
[for us].
- Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and
without shedding of blood is no remission.
- 1Pe 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible
things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by
tradition from your fathers;
- 1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot:
Jesus Did NOT Die For A Few Select People. He died for
everyone.
- Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
- 1Jo 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours
only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
Salvation Is Not
Of Works. Salvation Is A Free Gift. Works is
anything that you do for salvation (Baptism, Church membership, good
works, confirmation, ect...)
- Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that
is in Christ Jesus:
- Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
- Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
It Is
Belief That Gives Eternal Life.
- Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on
him.
- Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.
- Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,
[it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
A Head Knowledge
Type Of Belief Does Not Save. It is
not enough to believe in your head that Jesus lived and died. The
devils also believe this and they will be thrown in hell. It is not
even enough to call upon the Lord with vain words with only a head
knowledge.
- Jam 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the
devils also believe, and tremble.
- Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works?
- Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart
from me, ye that work iniquity.
You Must Have A
Repentant Faith To Be Saved.
Repentance is not works. Repentance is a real change of mind about
your sin that will result in a changed life.
- Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may
be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the
presence of the Lord;
- Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to repent:
- Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all
likewise perish.
- Mar 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
- Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent:
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- Mar 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God
is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
- 2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be
repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
How To Get Saved.
Put all the above together. Believe in the sinless Jesus who
is God the Son with a heart belief with repentance and then call upon Him
to save you. No works involved!
- Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved.
- Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him
shall not be ashamed.
- Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the
Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
- Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall
be saved.
If you have never prayed and asked God to save you, will you not do it
now? I put such a long section on the aspects of salvation because many
people have salvation wrong today. Many people believe in the
wrong Jesus. They believe in a Jesus who was not God manifested
in the flesh. Or they believe in a Jesus who was not born of a
virgin. Such a Jesus could not pay for your sin because he would
be a sinner himself and would need someone to pay for His sin.
Many people believe in a different Jesus who did not have to shed His
blood. They deny the blood atonement of Jesus. Many people
believe in a different Jesus who needs your help by doing works to
save you. Many people believe in a different Jesus who did not
exist before Mary and not the eternal Jesus who was in the beginning
with God and was God. Many people believe in Jesus with only a
head knowledge that will not save. They believe in a different
Jesus who does not require a repentant heart. God can save the
ungodly but He cannot save the unrepentant heart. Many people
today believe in the different Jesus of the Health and Wealth gospel.
They only come to their Jesus so they can get blessings. They do
not come to Jesus because they are sinners on their way to hell.
I ask you to spend some time considering which Jesus that you believe
in. And if it is not the Jesus as outlined above I beg you to
believe in the true Jesus, the only Jesus that can save your soul.
The First act of obedience of a new Christian is to get baptized.
The reasoning here is really pretty simple. God gave His church
what is called the Great Commission. He told them to go teach all nations
(this first teach has to do with teaching the Gospel). After they get
people saved, then they are to baptize them. This command makes it clear
that it is God's will for people who get saved to get baptized. And you
see this happen in this order in Acts 2:41
- Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
- Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
- Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the
same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.
Baptism is only
for saved people and not for infants.
Acts 2:41 clearly shows that first they gladly received his
word and then they were baptized. A baby cannot gladly receive his word.
A baby cannot even understand what you are saying. Also, you will
not find infant baptism in the Bible period!
- Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the
same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.
I am only getting started on this page!! Much More to
